Respond to statuses with emojis
A picture is worth a thousand words and an emoji is probably worth a few dozen of them. WhatsApp registers when you have opened a status, but if apart from that you want react to statuses without stopping to think much or write anythingin the future you will be able to do it in a simple way with the reactions to messages.
WhatsApp relatively recently added reactions to messages by which it is possible to respond to a specific text with any emoji on the keyboard. something similar is coming way of whatsapp statesas revealed once again by WaBetaInfo.
As we can see in the screenshot, we will have a new option to respond to a status. After swiping up to reply, in addition to having the bottom box to write any text you want, you can respond quickly by tapping on one of eight emojis that appear in the middle of the screen.
The options right now are 😍, 😂, 😯, 😢, 🙏, 👏, 🎉, and 💯. By clicking on one of them, presumably will be sent as a reply to the status creator’s chat, no more. It is a practical operation identical to how quick responses to Instagram and Facebook stories work, also owned by Meta.
The novelty is found within the WhatsApp Beta code for Android version 2.22.16.10, although not yet active for users. Taking into account that it has been sighted both on WhatsApp Desktop and on its mobile app, it would not be unreasonable to think that it could arrive in a few weeks, although you never know.
