WhatsApp and Facebook strengthen their relationship thanks to the States: now they can be shared automatically

Meta continues to update the messaging application that reigns on mobile phones around the world. WhatsApp States were boosted at the beginning of the year with five very useful new features, but it wasn’t until last week that we saw that it added the ability to automatically share these elements on Facebook.

We were able to test this setting, which appeared with the text “Always share to Facebook story”, although it was not operational. Well, from the specialized medium, they confirm that this function has begun to reach some beta users.

As we see in the screenshot, we will see a new facebook option directly in the privacy settings, in the States section. By activating it, the status updates we make will be automatically shared on our Facebook profile as a Story. Likewise, we can control which ones are shared as well as who can see them, all from the same app.

This new setting will be useful for anyone who wants to distribute their publications on both platforms. Until now, we could check the appropriate box for the sharing to take place, however it will be easier with this automatic adjustment since we will not have to do it every time we upload content.

It should be noted that by default, this option will be disabled. Therefore, it is optional and its use is left to the user’s choice. The feature has been spotted in the profiles of some beta users on Android, but it will be expanded to the rest of testers in the coming days.
