These are the reactions that YouTube is testing so you can interact with the videos in a new way

Reactions are here to stay. It will be very rare for a social or messaging application that does not include this expressive way of communicating with others, and while we wait for WhatsApp to launch its reactions to everyone, we see another popular application that is going to join this trend.

The reactions also arrive on YouTubealthough at the moment experimental. The popular video portal has announced that it has started testing a new way to interact with videos through the reactions.

YouTube and its reactions

The reactions do not go to the comments but go directly to the videos, so you can react to specific moments in a video and see the reactions of other users while you play the video.

YouTube reports that it has started testing these timed reactions on a small number of channels to start the experiment, but they have not reported which channels or which videos we can already test the new reactions.

As YouTube reports, the reactions will be shown in the video when we have the comments open, and will be displayed anonymously. During the playback of the video we will see how the users have reacted to see how reactions appear on the screen. To react we will only have to display the reaction menu that appears in the comments and press to react to the video.

YouTube has started the tests with six reactions / emojis, but they report that the amount of the variety can change depending on the reception they have throughout the experiment. In its initial phase, users will be able to react with the following emojis: Crying with laughter, Heart, Face of shock/Shame, Confetti, 100, Question mark, Light bulb/Idea and Horrified cat.
