If you have a tv with android tv, you are in luck. It is already a device that allows you to watch the classic DTT channels by antenna, but you also have a good alternative to watch DTT without cable thanks to the device’s operating system.
This can be very useful if you have some problem in the antenna or directly you don’t have cable for having the TV in a room far from the connector. In any case, we want to tell you that you also have a solution if you have a Chromecast, since what we are going to tell you about in this post is completely comparable.
The most recommended apps that bring together all DTT

Directly from the app store of your Android TV you can download Tivify. This is an application that allows you to bring together all the television channels in Spain in a single app, with a very careful and reliable interface. It works great and there is hardly any delay with respect to watching TV by antenna, although ob

Another application that we find very interesting for this purpose is TDTChannels, but don’t look for it in the Google store because it isn’t there. It has to download from its own official website and install the apk. Although it is true that in the end it is somewhat more tedious than installing the app from Google Play, it is not too complicated as we see in the tutorial that we have on how to install apks on Android TV.

Kodi, a multipurpose to watch DTT as IPTV

We continue to see options such as Kodi, which is not a specific application to watch DTT as if they are the two previously mentioned.
The process to watch DTT through this app requires having a playlist created in which all the channels are. For example, accessing Marc Villa’s GitHub we can find them in the list called “m3mu”. You will have to write down this link and write it manually in the Kodi application of your Android TV.
Once you have added this list, you must follow a series of steps to make the application finish validating the list of channels and they can be viewed without any problem and comfortably. We have already published an extensive tutorial where you can learn all the step-by-step details for the process. However, we already told you what it turns out much more tedious than the other options that we have discussed in previous sections

If you have contracted a television service with the main telephone operators, you may not know that they have own app for Android TV which, in addition to allowing you to enjoy paid content, also allow you to watch the classic DTT channels (including all the regional ones).
- Movistar+.
- VodafoneTV.

Last option: apps owned by each media group
TVE, Telecinco, Antena 3, laSexta… All these channels belong to large media corporations which, luckily, are grouped into different own applications that you can download from Google Play on your Android TV. However, you should know that it is not as comfortable as the previous options because you have to go application by application, in addition to not all channels will besince there are some independent ones that do not have their own app.
