In Telegram Beta you can already see who has read your messages in a group

One of the few things that WhatsApp has and not Telegram is that you have no way of knowing who has read your messages in a group. The same callsign is shown as in the rest of the chats, which does not differentiate between whether it has been read by one person or a hundred. This will change in version 8.0.1 of Telegram, as its beta version anticipates.

The Beta 8.0.1 version of Telegram allows you to see who has read your message on Telegram, in a simple and visual way. With a simple tap on one of your messages, it is shown how many people have seen it and who.

These people have seen your message

When you send a message to a WhatsApp group, you can see who has read it by long-tapping it and going to the Information menu. In Telegram there is no information menu and, therefore, until now there was no way to know who had seen your message in a group.

Instead, Telegram uses the same double check in groups than in chats with other people, so that as soon as one person reads your message, it appears as read. That will change soon, for better or for worse. In the beta version 8.0.1 of Telegram, which you can download from the @tgbeta channel, it is clearly indicated who has read your message. And in a very simple way.Telegra

All you have to do is a simple touch on your message, and the Seen menu appears at the top, indicating the number of people. If you tap on this menu, it opens the list of people who have read the message, although the date on which they did it is not added, as it does in WhatsApp. Apparently this feature is only available in groups with less than 50 members.

At the moment there does not seem to be any option to to disable this behavior, although we must remember that we are facing a beta version, so everything could change. What’s more, there is always the possibility that it will not finally reach the final version, if the reception of the novelty is not favorable among those who tested the beta.
